Manny Gamburyan was expected to face Hacran Dias on May 18, 2013 at UFC on FX 8 but unfortunately, but had to withdraw due to a broken thumb and an unforeseen fractured elbow injury that he had been training with for 3 months.
Manny is a true warrior based on this apologetic quote when addressing the reasons he had to withdraw from that card.
“I just want to apologize to the fans and (UFC President) Dana White and the UFC. I’ve been training really hard. We’ll fight down the road for sure.”
Manny, although it is one year since his last fight is coming off an impressive win over Michihiro Omigawa. And as many of you know trains with Ronda. So those that talk about ring rust or fatigue when coming off an injury shouldn’t have much to worry about, because when you are around the best you simply want to be the best. Motivation is everything and look to see Manny standing tall Saturday night at UFC Fight Night: Shogun vs. Sonnen in Boston as the victor over Cole Miller.
